Valuable lessons for all future leaders of business and academia. Some day your progeny will have employees or direct reports who will look to them for direction and guidance. Our goal is to help staff accomplish “Completed Staff Work.”  A job worth doing, is worth doing well. We view this as our single, most important mission, to impart to our part time student staff members.

Business Interpersonal and Telephone Etiquette

• Communication skills with managers, co-workers and customers, at a mature level
• Technical skills answering and using features of a business telephone and Point of Sale systems
• Problem solving for customers who can articulate their needs but not the solution

Any successful endeavor involves a high degree of concise information sharing.

Merchandising

• Organizational skills
• Visual merchandising
• Reading plans and implementing

Recognizing the powerful use of visual cues on consumers and their buying behavior.

Assembling merchandise

• Reading manuals/interpreting directions
• Proper use and nomenclature of hand tools

Practical and engineering/mechanical skills for navigating daily life.

Facility maintenance

• Recognize and implement facility cleanliness.
• Safety and security issues of facility operations.
• Pride of “place,” as it factors in level of occupational satisfaction.
